Keeping Your House Cool In The Summer
You do not necessarily need a fancy machine to maintain the temperatures in your house down. With a bit of trickery and some minor adjustments, you too can survive the hottest months of this year.
So offer a few of the proposals under a try and see if any can relieve your summer woes. And if you've got your own remedy for keeping your home cool, why not go ahead and post it at the comments for others to enjoy.
Keep your blinds and drapes closed
As much as 30 percent of heat may come from windows, so by keeping them shut that heat will be mirrored back out, and you'll keep the temperature reduced. Red, orange, and yellow drapes will reflect the maximum heat.
Open doors
Once it makes sense to keep as many doors open inside your home as possible to create an atmosphere flow, try shutting doors to rooms that you are not using. This may prevent cold air going into these rooms, meaning only the ones you really wish to stay cool benefit many.
Boost your fans with bowls of ice
If you have floor fans blowing in your house, try placing a bowl of ice water in front of them when you turn them on. This is likely to make the fans blow the cooler mist from the ice around the house as it evaporates, rather than just recycling the present warm air.
